VCA annual report 2024
In 2024, VCA proved that locally led climate solutions can thrive in a contested world. Boldly fulfilling MoFA’s original mandate for civic space, climate justice, and inclusion, VCA has delivered outcomes in food security, water management, and community resilience, aligning with Dutch priorities while navigating tensions with evolving changes in foreign policy and aid.
This report encapsulates the progress achieved in 2024, the fourth year of VCA’s implementation, structured around the three core pillars of our ToC: (1) mutual capacity strengthening to co-create local climate solutions, (2) amplifying voices to shape public debate and policies, and (3) joint lobbying andadvocacy to align policy and financial flows with community-driven climate priorities.
