Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA) is a feminist – Pan-African civil society organisation founded in 1985 by a group of African women living in the diaspora, who remained keenly aware of their African roots and the need to organise autonomously. We were named Akina Mama wa Afrika, which means solidarity among African women.

SouthSouthNorth (SSN) supports national and regional responses to climate change through policy and knowledge interventions, partnerships and deep collaboration. Being positioned in the Global South affords SSN a deeper understanding of, and connection to, the climate and development challenges facing the region.
