We are at a critical juncture In our ﬁght against raising temperatures and in transforming our societies in a sustainable, just and inclusive manner. The tipping point is now. There are huge opportunities to effect change. We need to renegotiate unequal rights and reimagine and recover the balance between people and nature. We believe this is only possible through next level local civil society leadership and ownership. Through innovation, a climate justice approach, and strong coalitions for just climate action.

Locally led climate solutions are solutions in which communities (including marginalized groups) participate meaningfully in developing and implementing adaptation or mitigation solutions.

Climate Finance for Local Solutions

Climate finance is the money that is put towards tackling climate change - both in terms of slowing it down (mitigation) and getting ready for the changes it brings (adaptation). This includes everything from big renewable energy projects to small community initiatives. See it as a big pool of money from different places – government budgets, businesses, charities, and more – to make our world more sustainable and resilient to climate change.
