Over the past four years (2021–2025), Humanis, through the Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA) programme, has worked alongside civil society partners, particularly in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, to strengthen local voices in addressing the climate crisis. On a recent field visit to Matondoni Village, a place known for its rich culture, beautiful sights, craftsmanship, and dhow-making, we were struck not by the charm but by the crisis.
