VCA annual report 2023
Over the last three years, the Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA) Alliance has worked with underrepresented groups and local civil society organisations in Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Tunisia, Kenya, Zambia, and Indonesia to amplify their voices for just climate action.
Rooted in its Theory of Change, VCA integrated mutual capacity strengthening, amplified voices, and relentless advocacy to align policies and finance with the needs of those most impacted by climate change, fostering locally led responses and demonstrating resilience amid a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape.
This report summarises the progress made in VCA’s third year of programme implementation. Since its inception in 2021, the VCA has made significant progress towards meeting its 5-year strategic objective: ‘By 2025, local civil society groups have claimed a central role as empowered innovators, facilitators and advocates of climate solutions.’
