New publication: Voices for a Common Future
This year, Asunción welcomed spring with Floralia, an event focused on climate journalism. Occupying a block in the Paraguayan capital, VCA partners, including the Journalism for Climate Action network, launched Voices for a Common Future, a dossier celebrating two years of accomplishments.

Emancipa Paraguay, El Surtidor, Global Infancia, WWF-Paraguay, and Fundación AVINA have focused on enhancing environmental reporting in the country. Together, they have launched a comprehensive programme that provides training workshops in the capital and the Chaco region, offers financial support for reporting, and has established the Environmental Journalism Award. This initiative has quickly led to a noticeable increase in media coverage of environmental issues.
This dossier includes research conducted by Global Infancia on media coverage of climate change in Paraguay. The research analysed more than 1,100 news articles to understand how the information ecosystem surrounding the climate crisis shapes public perception.
This publication, prepared within the framework of the Voices for Just Climate Action (VAC) programme, reaffirms the commitment to promoting collective, diverse communication grounded in climate justice.
