How to become accredited as an Observer Organization to the UNFCCC at COP

The presence of civil society at the Conferences of the Parties (COP) is of great importance to ensure the visibility of multiple voices on the different topics of the climate agenda.

To participate, interested organisations must be accredited as “Observers to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).” Although the process is straightforward, it is always beneficial to learn from the experiences of other organisations that have completed it.

With this in mind, a workshop was conducted on August 08th where experiences of organisations that have gone through the process and achieved accreditation were shared. At this event, we aimed to exchange learning and sought to guide those who wanted to expand their participation and make their voices heard at COP.
