“Abuela Grillo” Returns with a Message of Struggle and Hope

Fundación Avina, in collaboration with PICA Bolivia, is proud to announce the return of Abuela Grillo, a symbol of resistance and the fight for water in Bolivia. This new animated adventure continues the powerful story of the awicha (grandmother in Aymara language), inspiring society to reflect on the importance of fair access to water— a fundamental right for life and sustainable development. This project seeks to raise awareness among new generations about the urgency of protecting our water resources. With her return, Abuela Grillo reminds us that water is not a commodity but a common good that must be defended to ensure a fair and sustainable future for all.
