From Ashes to Hope Melloula’s Calamity

Following the devastating fires in Melloula and the losses suffered by local residents and the ecosystem, the Gender, Climate Change and Community Adaptation visited the victims, particularly women, to support them and shed light on their daily lives through artistic creations.
Hence, the Association APEDDUB, in collaboration with the Tunisian Youth Impact Association, organised a camp in Tabarka in October 2023.
An artistic competition was organised, with themes including pollution, rural women coping with climate change, and forest fires. Prizes were awarded to the winners and the association’s active members achieved second place for this artistic video: a 7-minute news bulletin highlighting pollution and environmental challenges in Tabarka, Tunisia.
