Expression of interest for youth-led organisations, social and grassroots movements in Zambia

Eligible youth-led Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and social and Grassroots Movements are invited to submit proposals for collaborations and partnerships to highlight their relevant capacities, expertise, skills and ability to support the delivery of sought-specific results for Zambian Youth.

The purpose of this general Call for Expression of Interest is to identify eligible Youth-led Civil Society Organisations, social and grassroots movements in Zambia working on youth in relation to climate change. This is to support the strengthening of a coordinated youth movement building and prospective partnerships supporting the delivery of Just Climate Action through the Voices for Just Climate Action Country Programme 2021-2025.

Eligible youth-led civil society organisations (CSOs), social and grassroots movements are invited to submit proposals for collaborations and partnerships in highlighting their relevant capacities, expertise, skills and ability to support the delivery of sought specific results for Zambian Youth as outlined in the criteria document.

Organisations, social and grassroots movements that wish to participate in this open Call for Expression of Interest are requested to send their submission via email with the subject clearly marked “Youth-led Open Call for Expression of Interest – WWF Zambia VCA” to isakala@wwfzam.org, copy in limposikuleka@gmail.com

OR

delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Youth-led Open Call for Expression of Interest – WWF Zambia VCA” at the following physical address:

WWF Zambia Country Office, Plot 4978, Los Angeles Boulevard, P.O.Box 50551 RW, Long acres, Lusaka, not later than the 19th of September 2023 (Deadline of submissions).

Applications must be submitted in English or any preferred local language.

Please address any requests for additional information before 25th September 2023 at the same contact addresses.

WWF Zambia (VCA programme) responses to any queries or clarification requests will be made available online via a Zoom call on the 14th of September, 2023.

Our Youth Advisory Committee will assess applications to identify CSOs, Social and Grassroots Movements that have the mandate, capacities, will and comparative advantage to support the achievement of results for youth using this criteria.

It should be noted that participation in this Open Call for Expression of Interest does not guarantee the applicants will be ultimately selected for a partnership or collaboration in activities with WWF Zambia. Successful applications/submissions will be eligible for collaboration depending on the needs of the VCA programme and available resources.

Accordingly, selected applicants will be invited to review and finalise collaboration agreements in accordance with criteria outlined in this document and applicable policy and procedures on collaborations with teams.

Teams with experience and expertise in working with one or more of the following vulnerable groups are especially encouraged to apply:

Youth-led focus on:

  • Policy and Advocacy (climate justice)
  • Capacity building, skills strengthening and education
  • Climate change and water resource management
  • Human Wildlife Conflict due to climate change
  • Energy & climate change
  • Gender (feminism) and climate change
  • Climate finance & green entrepreneurship
  • Art-ivism and climate change
  • Any other area of expertise in relation to climate change & social justice

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their submissions by communication sent out to the email/postal address/phone contact that is indicated in the applicant’s submission.
