CBD COP 16 – Webinar Resources
A Spotlight on Local Voices and Solutions
As the world prepares for the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in October 2024, the importance of civil society engagement in global environmental governance has never been more critical. This includes engagement across all three Rio conventions (UNFCCC, CBD and UNCCD).
This webinar, held on the 5th of September 2024, explored the intersection of civil society involvement across the climate and biodiversity conventions, focusing on how stakeholders can enhance their contributions to the CBD COP16 and the broader environmental agenda.
Our speakers Mrinalini Rai, Tristan Tyrrell, Eduardo Rotela, Peter Bulimo, and Nadia Sitas, are leading experts, activists, and policymakers. They shared strategies, best practices, and case studies on amplifying civil society voices.
