Aháta aju*, Local Partners Meeting in Paraguay
From 28 to 30 October 2025, the fourth and final national meeting of local partners was held in Paraguay. Representatives from more than 20 local organisations gathered at a resort on the outskirts of Asunción, the country's capital, to evaluate progress under the Voices for Climate Justice (VCA) programme.

The meeting was attended by Charlotte Scott and Trinidad Morán from SouthSouthNorth (South Africa), Stanley Walet from WWF-Netherlands, and Hanan Callejas from Fundación Avina (Bolivia). They were able to meet with local partners and gain a better understanding of the work processes that were developed.

During these three days, local partners analysed the progress made, recognised the contribution of their work to the common goal and connected their results. Day three was devoted to discussing the future, the difficult context facing Paraguay in terms of civil society work, and possible opportunities for alliances to ensure the continuity of processes initiated or supported by VCA.

This was not farewell. Instead, this gathering reaffirmed each partner’s genuine commitment to building a better future in which all voices can be heard.
