A voice for just climate action
VCA is excited to share a video story of Rogerio Mendes - the nephew of the late Chico Mendes - who lives in the world’s first extractive reserve in the Acre Amazonian Rainforest.
Rogerio, who earns a living as a rubber tapper and harvester of Brazil nuts, speaks about how climate change has affected his livelihood. He stresses the importance of preserving the Acre Amazon rainforest for future generations and those living in the reserve.
