Sustainable nature, sustainable food source

People living in drought-prone areas of East Nusa Tenggara experience the impacts of climate change first hand.

Climate change events threaten their food security and health. In the same time, local food sources are available in nature. Sorghum previously was cultivated as a local food in East Nusa Tenggara, however, it had long been abandoned since residents turned to rice since the past three decades. Restoring Sorghum crop becomes one possible solutions to address the impact of climate change and strengthening local food security in this region.
