The VCA Brazil VOICES Magazine is now finally available in English on the VCA website.
VOICES is a collaborative publication that presents articles, essays, interviews, infographics, and reports produced by those who live the realities of the Amazon and fight for its conservation.
In this first edition, the magazine brings 21 materials organized into 5 sections: Network Actions, Opinion, Voices around the World, Art Mood, and Climate Xibé. The material is produced collaboratively by a network of organizations and movements that are part of the Voices for Just Climate Action Programme (VCA) in Brazil.
VOICES is not just another publication about climate change. It is about the voices of local communities who suffer directly from deforestation, land grabbing, river contamination, and violence in the countryside. The voices that represent traditional, ancestral climate solutions that have kept the forest standing to this day.
How have activists, youth, women, social movements, indigenous peoples, traditional peoples, academics and civil society organizations from Brazil been working to build a new paradigm of development so necessary to confront the climate emergency from the Amazon?
Welcome to VOICES, the magazine that echoes the struggle for climate justice in Brazil!
